Is this a broker site?

No. dilli.rent is not a broker or agent. We don't charge brokerage or take commissions. We show crowdsourced rents and optionally introduce compatible seekers and listers.

Is my location exact on the map?

No. We round coordinates to ~100m precision before displaying them publicly. Your exact pin location is never shown to other users.

Is my email or phone public?

Never on the map. Email is optional for anonymous rent pins. For listings and seeker pins, contact info is stored privately and shared only with matched parties via email.

How does matching work?

Every day, we match active seekers with listings within 2.5 km where budget, BHK, furnishing, and preferences align. Room seekers can also be matched with other compatible seekers to team up. Both parties receive an email with contact details. We never send the same pair twice.

How do I delete my pin?

If you provided an email when pinning rent, check your inbox for a delete link. You can also delete from the pin detail view if you still have your owner token saved in this browser. Otherwise email hi@dilli.rent.

How are fake or suspicious rents handled?

Rents outside normal ranges trigger a confirmation warning. Pins far from neighbourhood medians are flagged as suspicious and excluded from averages. Three credible reports auto-hide a pin for review.

Why are there ads?

Server and email costs need coverage. Google AdSense ads help keep dilli.rent free with no paywall.

Can owners list directly?

Yes. Use "List My Flat" to post a whole flat or room listing. No brokerage. Get matched with nearby seekers automatically.

Can seekers find flatmates?

Yes. Drop a room seeker pin and we can match you with other compatible room seekers nearby to find a flat together, in addition to matching available room listings.

Does the metro overlay work for filtering?

Yes. Toggle Metro in the nav, then use Filters → Near Metro to show only pins within your chosen distance of the nearest Delhi Metro station.
